The ChatGPT app for Windows is now available to everyone for free

OpenAI has released the ChatGPT application for Windows, which is now available for free to all users. Previously, only subscribers of the premium version had access to the application.

Here's What We Know

The app can be downloaded through the Microsoft Store and includes all the features of the web version such as instant replies, voice chat, image generation and the ability to upload files and photos.

For full access to features such as advanced voice chat and search, users will need a ChatGPT Plus or Team subscription. ChatGPT Plus subscriptions cost $20 per month and Team subscriptions cost $25.

The instant replies feature allows users to bring up the ChatGPT window at any time using the Alt + Space keyboard shortcut. Support for developer tools such as VS Code and Xcode is expected to be added in the future, allowing ChatGPT to check code and answer questions related to it.
