Criterion Studios and Electronic Arts continue active content support of Need for Speed Unbound racing game.
The developers shared the details of Vol. 9 Lockdown, which thematically refers to one of the most popular games of the series - Most Wanted (2005).
Here's What We Know
Criterion promises a lot of new innovations, including:
- Lockdown's PvPvE multiplayer mode, in which five gangs of three players will compete against each other in carjacking. Gamers will be offered to sneak into a guarded area, find a truck with a car in the back, steal it and escape from the police (the contents of the truck will change every week);
- in Lockdown mode you can steal 15 cars, which are stylised as cars of the blacklist participants from Most Wanted. Among them will appear the famous custom BMW M3 GTR '05, but its design will be slightly redesigned;
- for the first time in the history of NFS in the game will be available motorbike - BMW S 1000 RR 2019. It can be used in Lockdown mode or for free riding. In NFS Unbound will add special PvP-matches for "bikers";
- two new cars will appear - Honda Integra TYPE R and Subaru Impreza WRX STI. You can get them through the free Speed Pass or its premium version.
When We Can Expect It
Vol. 9 Lockdown will appear in the game on 26 November.
Need for Speed Unbound is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
