The Monkey King hasn't had the last word yet: the developers of Black Myth: Wukong promise surprises before the end of the year

The Chinese action game Black Myth: Wukong from the previously unknown to the international audience studio Game Science had a bombshell effect and became one of the main novelties of 2024, and its sales exceeded 20 million copies in just one month.

Two days ago, Black Myth: Wukong won its first award, becoming "Game of the Year" at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024.

While receiving the award, Black Myth: Wukong's game director Feng Ji thanked the audience for their interest in the game and intrigued them with the announcement that there will be some surprises in store for gamers before the end of 2024.

It's hard to say exactly what the developer meant, but there's a chance that a December release date for Wukong on the Xbox Series will be revealed or the Chinese game designers will announce a story add-on, which has already been rumoured. It is believed that the DLC could be released in time for the Lunar New Year (late January/early February 2025).

Obviously, the best platform for such announcements will be The Game Awards 2024's biggest show, which will take place on 12 December in Los Angeles. By the way, Black Myth: Wukong is nominated for Game of the Year.
