Xiaomi reveals key features of the new Redmi Watch 5 with AMOLED screen

Redmi Watch 5 will be part of Xiaomi's big presentation on 27 November.

Along with the new Redmi K80 series smartphones, the company will also unveil a new smartwatch equipped with a 2.07-inch AMOLED screen with a brightness of up to 1500 nits. This is a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Redmi Watch 4, which had a screen with 600 nits of brightness.

The new model will also have slim bezels: the screen-to-body ratio will be 82% compared to 74.8% for the previous model. Redmi Watch 5 will have a metal frame and a stainless steel crown, which gives the watch a premium look.

The watch will support Xiaomi HyperOS 2, focus notifications, and a battery life of up to 24 days in power saving mode. Although the price has not yet been disclosed, the device is expected to be available internationally.
