NetherRealm studio promised gamers an extensive multi-year support for the fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 and so far fulfils its plans, but there is information that the developers are curtailing the production of new content.
Here's What We Know
Authoritative in the community of Mortal Kombat fans insider FateUnknown reported that NetherRealm Studios cancelled almost all additional content, including Kombat Pack 3. According to the informant, the reason for this decision was the poor sales of the Khaos Reigns story expansion, which was released on 24 September.

It's possible that Mortal Kombat 1 will still add some more cameo fighters, as they've been worked on for a while now, but FateUnknown isn't even sure about this decision by the studio.
The low sales of Khaos Reigns are quite natural, as gamers first bought Mortal Kombat 1 for $70, and just a year later they were offered to buy a relatively small add-on for $50 - obviously few people are willing to spend that kind of money on a single game.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
