A few days ago, blogger and insider Brad Lynch reported that Valve is developing Steam Controller-2 and a new gamepad that will be able to connect to any gaming platform.
The information sounded plausible, but now there is another indirect confirmation of his words.

Renders of a new gamepad from Valve codenamed Ibex have appeared on the web - most likely it is the Steam Controller 2.
In addition, through the application SteamVR leaked and renders of controllers for VR-helmet Deckard codenamed Roy. It is this device, as Lynch stated, can be used not only on virtual reality headsets, but also on PCs and consoles.

Earlier Valve mentioned the desire to release a new version of the Steam Controller, but it did not go further than words.
The renders clearly show that Roy will offer a large number of buttons, including a crossbar, bumpers and ABXY, which confirms its suitability for more than just connecting to VR headsets.
