Casio is celebrating the 41st anniversary of its first G-Shock by introducing the DW-5000R, which is almost completely the same design as the original 1983 watch. This is not just a return to the roots, but also the integration of modern technology into the legendary case.

The new G-Shock DW-5000R retains the key characteristics of its predecessor:
- "Triple Ten: 10-year battery life, water resistance to 10 bar and the ability to withstand a 10 metre drop.
- Modern updates: LED backlighting for easy use in the dark and a case made of eco-friendly "biomass plastic", in line with current sustainability trends

Release date and price
The DW-5000R will go on sale in Japan on 13 December for 33,000 yen (approximately $217). Information on global availability has not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that the watch will be of interest to both collectors and new fans of the brand.
