Samsung is preparing to release its flagship Galaxy S25 series smartphones, which recently received FCC certification, revealing information about the charging speed of the devices.
Here's What We Know
Unfortunately, despite expectations, the charging speed of these smartphones leaves much to be desired. The base Galaxy S25, like previous models, supports fast charging with only 25W of power, which is significantly inferior to competitors in the Android market. Even Apple iPhones have caught up with Samsung on this metric. The Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra models support 45W charging, but that's still not impressive.
Moreover, the Galaxy S25 features 9W wireless charging, which is lower than its predecessor's 15W. Thus, Samsung's new devices may disappoint users expecting more advanced charging technology. The official launch of the Galaxy S25 series is likely to take place in early 2025, and only then will it be clear whether users' expectations will be met.
