Google is rolling out a new feature for Chat - audio meetings called Huddles, powered by Meet.

Here's What We Know

This feature allows you to quickly start audio meetings right in the chat window.

Huddles are available in private messages, group chats, and Spaces. To start one, click the icon in the upper right corner of the web version of Chat. Participants will see a notification in the chat that the meeting has started and can then join.

Users can add a video, screen share, or end the meeting with a button. All features are integrated into Chat, allowing you to communicate and work at the same time.

Huddles is gradually becoming available to Google Workspace users, including Starter, Standard, Plus, and other business plans. The rollout will be completed within a few weeks.
