Norway has increased its annual aid to Ukraine to at least $3.2 billion.

Here's What We Know

Norway will continue to support Ukraine until 2030, including at least NOK 35 billion (approximately $3.16 billion) in 2025.

Of this amount, 22.5 billion kroner ($2 billion) will be allocated for military assistance, and 12.5 billion ($1.1 billion) for humanitarian and civilian support.

"For Ukraine, it is important that the support lasts for several years and that there is cross-party agreement on this. The Ukrainian people need to know that Norway's support will continue. I would like to thank the parties in Storting for the good cooperation," said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

The assistance programme for Ukraine has been extended by three years, until 2030, and expanded to 154.5 billion kroner (almost $14 billion).

In addition, Norway has recently allocated NOK 500 million ($45 million) to finance the production of weapons and military equipment by Ukrainian companies. Production priorities will be determined by the needs of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Norwegian Defence Materials Agency (NDMA) also signed a cooperation agreement. The document opens up new opportunities for the exchange of information on the arms market, joint research and development of innovative military technologies.

Working groups have been set up in Kyiv and Oslo as part of the agreement. NDMA experts are involved in training Ukrainian specialists in various areas.
