Casio to launch four new G-Shock models to celebrate DW-5000R

In December, Casio will introduce four new G-Shock models in Japan to celebrate the release of the DW-5000R.

Here's What We Know

The DW-5600RL-1JF, DW-6900RL-1JF, GA-110RL-1AJF and GA-2100RL-1AJF models differ in design and function, but all feature red accents similar to the DW-5000R.

The DW-5600RL-1JF and DW-6900RL-1JF models will be priced at ¥14,300 ($95) each. The DW-5600RL-1JF features LED backlighting, a timer, stopwatch and a battery that lasts up to 5 years. The DW-6900RL-1JF has an electroluminescent backlight, but the battery is designed to last only 2 years.

The GA-110RL-1AJF will have magnetic protection, a stopwatch with an accuracy of 1/1000th of a second, and will cost ¥20,350 ($137).

The GA-2100RL-1AJF for ¥17,600 ($117) has dual LED backlighting and a battery that lasts up to 3 years.

The watch will go on sale in Japan from 1 December. There is no information about an international launch yet.
