Garmin smart watch users have experienced massive dial failures caused by a firmware bug in the Connect IQ platform.

Here's What We Know

The issue lies in the Storage.setValue() function, which causes a crash when apps or watch faces attempt to save data. Rebooting the device temporarily resolves the issue, but the failure reoccurs the next time you try to save.

The bug affects all Garmin smart watch models, including the Venu 3 and Forerunner 965. Users see the "IQ" logo with an orange exclamation mark on the screen and are unable to use the watch. Garmin has acknowledged the problem and is investigating, but has not yet been able to reproduce the bug consistently. Developers of apps for Garmin devices are also affected by these glitches, as they undermine the functionality of their products.

Some users have suggested reporting the problem directly to Garmin's support team to get a faster resolution.
