In the winter and early spring, Helldivers 2, a co-op shooter about space marines, became the most popular project, bringing together hundreds of thousands of players to exterminate bugs on different planets. Helldivers 2 even won Game of the Year at the TIGA Awards 2024. The game also has a cool soundtrack, and there is an interesting story about the composer of Helldivers 2.

Here's What We Know

Before the game's release, Helldivers 2 composer Will Roget was thinking of giving up writing orchestral music for games. He thought that players were tired of it. At the same time, it is difficult, time-consuming and expensive to create, and he wanted to try new things.

However, the reaction of the fans changed his mind and Will was very happy with everything that happened around the game. It renewed his hopes and passion for orchestral music.

And although the game's music did not receive any nominations, the main thing is that people are happy

For a traditional orchestral score, what I thought was impossible has come true

  • The gg editorial team was pleased with the game and gave it a 4.4/5 rating. This is an attraction that you want to come back to again and again. Sometimes it's crazy, sometimes it makes you laugh, sometimes it's tense because of the number of enemies on the screen, but it's the range of emotions that we love games for.
