The superhero action game Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) from Insomniac Games became one of the most successful projects of the PlayStation brand. The game received the highest marks from critics, was warmly welcomed by the public and sold perfectly. But the numbers that hit the web are impressive!

Here's What We Know

Former PlayStation global marketing manager Kevin K., who was in charge of Marvel's Spider-Man advertising campaign, pointed out on his Linkedin page that the game generated $3.8 billion in revenue in its first year of sales.

According to his data, more than 20 million copies of the action game were sold during this period, and this despite the fact that at that time it was available only on one platform - PS4.

Earlier in the network appeared information that Sony spent about $250 million on the development and marketing of Marvel's Spider-Man, so simple arithmetic shows that Sony's investment has paid off many times over.

As a reminder, Insomniac Games is currently working on Marvel's Wolverine action game, which has every chance of surpassing Spider-Man.
