Chinese smartphone manufacturers have come a long way in battery and charger technology in recent years. For example, Realme introduced a 320W fast charging system that charges a 4420mAh battery from 0% to 100% in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. While the famous American iPhones lag far behind in this aspect.

Here's What We Know

Even the latest generation of flagship smartphones from Apple, Samsung and Google are far behind Chinese flagships in terms of charging speed. For example, the iPhone 16 Pro charges at 26-27W, the Galaxy S24 Ultra at 45W, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL at 37W. Some users prefer slower charging to extend battery life.

But Chinese manufacturers are not standing still and continue to develop battery technology. From a Chinese whistleblower Digital Chat Station has learnt that Chinese company Realme is testing different power configurations for its upcoming flagship, presumably the Realme GT8 Pro. The first variant features a 7,000 mAh battery that will be charged with 120W fast charging in 42 minutes. The second variant is a 7,500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging, achieving a full charge in 55 minutes. The third is an 8,000mAh battery that will charge with 80W fast charging in 70 minutes. Any of these variants will noticeably improve the autonomy of the company's upcoming flagship.

Earlier, it was reported that Realme, a popular smartphone brand from BBK Electronics, ranked 7th in the world in terms of sales with a market share of 8.2 per cent in the first half of 2024. It is known that the latest flagship Realme GT7 Pro is equipped with a 6500mAh battery.
