Apple Pay, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary, continues to expand into new markets.

Here's What We Know

The latest addition to the list of countries where this service is available is Uruguay. The information was published by the Apple server monitoring expert @aaronp on the X platform.

This happened less than a month after the launch of Apple Pay in neighbouring Paraguay. The service is already available in such South American countries as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia. This makes Uruguay the sixth country in the region where users can take advantage of mobile payments via Apple Pay.

The company has replaced its Apple Pay Later service, which is no longer available, with the ability to pay for purchases in instalments through Affirm and Klarna. These services can now be used when making payments via Apple Pay.
