iPhone 15 becomes the most popular smartphone in the world
In the third quarter of 2024, the three best-selling smartphones in the world were last year's iPhone models, with two older Samsung models coming in at 4th and 5th place, according to a new market report.

The most popular smartphone in the world was the basic iPhone 15, which captured 3% of the global smartphone market. The iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro took second and third place.
Among Samsung's models, the Galaxy A15 5G was the most successful, taking 4th place, and the Galaxy A15 4G was 5th. The following models follow:
- iPhone 14 - in 6th place, popular due to its more affordable price compared to newer models.
- Redmi 13C is a smartphone from the Chinese brand Xiaomi, which took 7th place.
- Galaxy A05 is in 8th place, another Samsung smartphone from the A series.
- Galaxy S24 - Samsung's flagship smartphone, which was ranked 9th in the list of the best.
- The Galaxy S24 Ultra is another premium Samsung model that took 10th place.
Analysts note that the iPhone 15 Pro Max has improved its position compared to last year due to a better camera and display, as well as convenient purchase conditions and the ability to exchange an old device for a new one.
Despite this, Apple experienced a slight drop in sales due to the better performance of Samsung smartphones.
