The new rumours surrounding the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, scheduled for 2025, have sparked a lot of discussion. Initially, it was reported that Apple was planning to return to using aluminium for its premium models, abandoning titanium and stainless steel. However, a new leak from the Weibo platform casts doubt on these statements.

Here's What We Know

According to the insider, the return to aluminium could be a blow to Apple's reputation, given its active promotion of the benefits of titanium and stainless steel as premium materials.

The company has used these materials as an important part of the quality of its devices, emphasising their durability and attractive appearance.

However, Apple remains a profit-driven company. Therefore, a return to aluminium, which is cheaper to produce, doesn't seem entirely unlikely.
