Mozilla Firefox will now automatically render the desktop version of your website on Android tablets and foldable devices
Mozilla has added a feature in the latest update to its Firefox browser that will switch websites to a computer-friendly mode by default on large-screen devices such as tablets and foldable devices. This feature can be controlled through the Site Settings menu, formerly known as Site Permissions.
Here's What We Know
Unlike Google Chrome, which also has similar functionality, Firefox will switch to desktop mode on all Android devices with a large screen, including foldable devices, not just on "premium tablets" like Chrome. This improves the web browsing experience by providing a desktop-like look and feel on larger screens.
In addition, the update introduces enhanced privacy for users in private browsing mode: any text copied to the clipboard in private browsing mode is now marked as "private" content, and clipboard notifications are masked on Android 13 and later devices for added privacy.
