Google has started testing the new Google Assistant voice on Nest devices.

Here's What We Know

This voice is part of an updated assistant that uses Gemini language models. According to users, the new voice can be heard in conversational queries, but the old voice is used for basic questions. This indicates that the updated assistant is not yet ready for a wide launch.

Earlier, Google announced that the new Assistant on Nest devices will provide more natural voices and allow for long conversations, as well as use Gemini capabilities for more complex queries. This update is not yet available to everyone, but we can expect it to hit the general market in the coming weeks.
