The end of espionage: Sweet Bandits Studios, which created the online game Deceive Inc. is closing down
In March 2023, Deceive Inc. was released, a multiplayer game where players take on the role of undercover agents in the world of espionage. Although the game has 85% positive reviews on Steam, its peak online is now barely 100 players, so the studio is closing.
Here's What We Know
Sweet Bandits Studios has announced that it is no more. After a long and difficult journey of trying to bring Deceive Inc. to a state where it could thrive, the authors have reached a turning point for the studio, unable to continue this adventure.
The Deceive Inc. servers will continue to operate and the studio is exploring ways to make the game available to fans for a long time, but cannot promise anything yet. So now the game will be fully handled by the publisher Tripwire Interactive, but it is unknown how long they will be willing to do so.
