NVIDIA plans to release its new Rubin architecture 6 months ahead of schedule in an effort to strengthen its position in the artificial intelligence market.
Here's What We Know
Originally planned for 2026, the Rubin architecture is now expected in the second half of 2025. This decision is due to the company's desire to accelerate the transition between architectures and maintain industry leadership. Rubin will utilise TSMC's 3nm process and advanced HBM4 memory chips, which are already in mass production.
NVIDIA previously announced the release of liquid-cooled, high-performance Blackwell Ultra servers by mid-2025. Thus, Rubin and Blackwell Ultra could hit the market around the same time. NVIDIA is expected to provide more details at CES 2025.
