Samsung may allow you to launch Gemini by pressing and holding the side button
Currently, on Samsung devices, if you hold down the side button, it launches either Bixby or the power off menu.
Here's What We Know
However, according to information found in the latest version of Google's app, Samsung may allow Gemini to be launched by long-pressing this button.
Currently, on most Android devices, holding the side button brings up the standard voice assistant, but on Samsung smartphones, this only works for Bixby. However, new lines of code have been discovered in the Google app that indicate the ability to launch Gemini by pressing and holding the side button.
This feature is likely to appear in the new version of One UI, which may be announced soon.
Perhaps it will be part of the settings for the new Galaxy S25 series, which will be launched in the near future. This will be a significant step towards greater flexibility in the use of voice assistants on Samsung devices.
