This game may surprise you: the developers of Crimson Desert have revealed a tense battle with the powerful Witch
Developers of the ambitious action-RPG Crimson Desert from Pearl Abyss studio shared exclusive gameplay footage of their project with IGN editorial staff.
Here's What We Know
The seven-minute video showed viewers a tense battle with a powerful boss named Hexe Marie. She is a master of dark magic, casts curses and flocks of crows on the hero, and if that's not enough - the Witch is able to summon an army of dead minions to help.
The video emphasises the gloomy atmosphere of Crimson Desert and demonstrates the complex combat system of the game.
The developers have previously shown several staged scenes, as well as monster and human fights, and this footage confirms that the Korean action game is extremely similar to many popular modern games, including The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy XVI, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Dragon's Dogma 2. Whether this is a good or bad thing is hard to say yet, but the game looks great.
When We Can Expect It
No official release date for Crimson Desert has been given yet, according to insider information the game will be released in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
