Google has unveiled the stable Android 15 QPR1 update and the December Pixel Feature Drop for a host of devices, including the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, Pixel 9 series smartphones, as well as the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

Here's What We Know

This update introduces a redesign of Material You settings, which includes an anchored search bar and new menu cards. Broadcast, recording, and sharing indicators now appear on the left with a visible counter.

Battery settings add new features such as adaptive charging and limiting charge to 80 per cent. The Pixel 9 got a thicker status bar to accommodate the front-facing camera. Theme icons have been made lighter, especially in dark mode. Pixel Tablet now supports lock screen widgets available to all users.

Also added is the ability to work with freeform windows for developers. Other changes include a new globe icon for keyboard switching, an improved Predictive Back feature and a new colour correction slider in Special Features. The update also fixes several security vulnerabilities.
