Huawei has started beta testing the HarmonyOS Next update for the Watch Fit 3 smartwatch.

Here's What We Know

The programme involves 3,000 users from China who will help improve the software before its public launch.

Beta version 5.0.0.12 (SP1C00M03log), 73.25 MB in size, adds several new features: a screenshot tool that saves images to the smartphone album. A new Clock Tower clock face and Galaxy Ring animation for connectivity. The WeChat app for the watch has also been introduced, allowing you to read messages and reply via text or voice notes.

Despite the name HarmonyOS Next, the changelog shows HarmonyOS 5.0. It is not yet known when the update will be available globally.

The price of the Watch Fit 3 in Europe starts at €129.
