The Hyundai Palisade 2026 has turned into practically a 9-seater bus with a brutal design
Hyundai has decided to surprise the automotive world once again with a dramatic redesign of its vehicle. The new Palisade for the 2026 model year has turned into an even more brutal SUV with cubic shapes, 21-inch wheels and a hint of "pixel" lighting, like Hyundai's electric cars from the IONIQ family.
Here's What We Know
The front of the Palisade draws attention with large rectangles that are probably the daytime running lights. Four more sections - separately for low and high beam - are located between the massive grille.
Dimensions have also changed: the wheelbase has become longer than the previous 2,900 mm (the company does not yet provide exact characteristics), and the front overhang is shortened. The body remains spacious, with large glazing and double panoramic roof for top versions.
At the rear - minimalism: the exhaust is hidden under the bumper, and the windscreen wiper is now hidden under the upper spoiler. Rear lights, which stylistically resemble front DHOs, do not go on the boot.
Interior: screens, buttons and the ninth seat
Inside, the Palisade is a true techno-revolution. Two 12.3-inch screens are combined into one panel, but physical buttons for climate control, multimedia and other functions remain, which will please conservatives. There's no more "H" on the steering wheel, replaced by the four dots that stand for that letter in Morse code.

The transmission selector has been moved to the steering column, and the centre console has become multifunctional: in addition to 100W USB-C charging, wireless charging and cup holders, it can be transformed into a third seat, allowing you to carry up to 9 people. The model for the South Korean market has an extra trick: drivers of the nine-seat version will be able to legally drive in bus lanes.
Specifications have yet to be announced, but rumours hint at a long-awaited hybrid engine. Additional details Hyundai promises to reveal soon.
