Platform X has made its chatbot Grok AI free for all users
X has announced that its chatbot Grok AI has been made available for free to all users. Now anyone can use the tool without having to pay for an X Premium subscription.

However, the free version has limitations: users can only send 10 messages every 2 hours and analyse a maximum of three images per day.
Grok AI, developed by xAI, replaces the previous version of the mini chatbot and is now the only available option on the platform. While Grok AI isn't the most advanced chat bot, it can still be useful for entertainment and simple tasks.
Earlier this year, Grok AI caused controversy by spreading false information about the election and creating controversial images. The decision to make Grok AI free is likely due to an attempt to win back users who have moved on to other platforms such as Threads and Bluesky. The move is also made to compete with other free chatbots such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini.
