More than 440 thousand players played Marvel Rivals at launch on Steam

Recently, the heroic shooter Marvel Rivals was released on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game seems to have been a relative success on PC: more than 444 thousand players played it at launch, and the rating on Steam is "mostly positive" based on more than 6 thousand reviews from players.

Here's What We Know

The game features 33 Marvel characters, including heroes such as Captain America and Wolverine, and villains such as Magneto and Loki. Players can choose one of three roles: Vanguard, Strategist or Duelist, each of which offers a unique gameplay dynamic.

Marvel Rivals includes eight cards and four game modes: Conquest, Dominance, Convergence, and Convoy. The game is currently in its introductory Season 0: Dooms' Rise, which includes a $5 battle pass with cosmetic rewards, and ends in December.

Season 1 will begin in January 2025, promising three months of new content and additional characters. With a strong start and regular updates planned, Marvel Rivals is poised to maintain its momentum among competitive multiplayer fans.
