Honor X50 is more popular in China than iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro
According to Canalys' latest Q3 2024 report, the Honor X50 smartphone has surpassed the sales of the flagship iPhone 16 Pro in mainland China.

The Honor X50 ranked third with a market share of 2.8 per cent, while the iPhone 16 Pro was in fifth place with a 2.4 per cent share. The significant price difference between the two devices probably played a key role in this result. In China, the iPhone 16 Pro costs about 6 times more than the Honor X50. The affordability of the Honor X50 probably also played an important role in its success.

The device features a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. On the front, there is a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an inbuilt fingerprint scanner. The smartphone gets a large 5800mAh battery with 35W charging support.
The success of Honor X50 was not just limited to outperforming the iPhone 16 Pro. It also outperformed other premium devices such as the Redmi K70 Ultra, which ranked seventh with a market share of 2.3 per cent, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15, which ranked eighth and ninth respectively. Interestingly, the third place went to the iPhone 16 Pro Max with the same result as the Honor X50, while the first place went to the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a market share of 3%.
