The head of REDMI has hinted that the REDMI Turbo 4 will debut this month with the latest Dimensity 8400 chip
Last month, Redmi unveiled its Redmi K80 series flagships in China and now it looks like the company is gearing up to launch a new Turbo 4 smartphone in December 2024.
Here's What We Know
The company's CEO, Wang Teng Thomas, hinted at this in a short video by mentioning the keyword "Little Tornado", which is the codename of the Turbo series. The Turbo 4 will be the world's first smartphone based on the new Dimensity 8400 chipset.
The Dimensity 8400, which is manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process technology, has an architecture with Cortex-A725 cores clocked at over 3GHz. The Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU will deliver high performance as evidenced by a score of over 1.7 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark, surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The device will feature a flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 90W fast charging support. The Turbo 4 is expected to be priced between 1,500 and 2,000 yuan (roughly $205 to $275). A Turbo 4 Pro model with the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset is also expected to be released next year.
In the global market, these devices may be renamed Poco X7 and Poco F7 respectively.
