The US army has carried out air strikes on ISIS bases in Syria to prevent them from recovering from the fall of the Assad regime
US Central Command forces conducted dozens of precision airstrikes on ISIS camps in central Syria.
Here's What We Know
The strikes on ISIS leaders, operatives and camps were carried out as part of the ongoing mission to destroy ISIS to prevent the terrorist group from conducting operations and to ensure that ISIS does not try to rebuild its forces on the ruins of the Assad regime.
It is noted that in total, the United States hit more than 75 targets. The attack was carried out from B-52 bombers, F-15 fighters and A-10 attack aircraft. The location of ISIS leaders and militants was also targeted.

"There should be no doubt about it - we will not allow ISIS to resurface and take advantage of the current situation in Syria. All organisations in Syria need to know that we will hold them accountable if they partner with or support ISIS in any way," said General Michael Eric Kurilla.
Damage from the attack is being assessed and there were no civilian casualties, the command added.
