Following the start of series production of the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 at the end of November at the Wörth plant, the first customer deliveries have already taken place. Mercedes-Benz Trucks will hand over around 50 battery-electric long-haul trucks to customers in Germany by the end of the year.

Here's What We Know

The first recipients of the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 are August Gschwander Transport GmbH, Blue Känguru GmbH, Brummer Logistik GmbH, Contargo GmbH Co. KG, CONTRAIL-Transport GmbH Co. KG, DENKINGER Internationale Spedition GmbH, Ralf Reyser Transporte Logistik, SCHADE Logistic GmbH and Wessels Holding GmbH Co. KG. These companies have benefited from the policies of the German Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport.

Differences between the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 and conventional diesel Mercedes-Benz Actros

Visually, the electric truck differs from its diesel-powered counterparts with a fundamentally new, purist design with clean lines and an aerodynamic shape.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 is equipped with a long-life lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The development engineers at Mercedes-Benz Trucks have designed the eActros 600 to meet the same vehicle and component durability requirements as comparable diesel heavy-duty long-haul Actros. This translates into up to 1.2 million kilometres of mileage over ten years of operation. After this period of use, the residual battery capacity must exceed 80 per cent.

The index "600" in the name of the electric Mercedes-Benz eActros stands for a battery capacity of 600 kilowatt hours. The manufacturer promises a range of 500 kilometres without intermediate recharging with a gross train weight of 40 tonnes. However, if you take advantage of intermediate charging during legally prescribed driver breaks, the eActros 600 will even be able to travel more than 1,000 kilometres per day. The eActros 600 currently supports the CCS charging standard with up to 400 kW, and will eventually receive megawatt charging.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 recently won the "International Truck of the Year 2025" award. The jury list for the competition included journalists from 24 European countries.
