A few days ago, early access to the isometric game Path of Exile 2 from New Zealand studio Grinding Gear Games started.

Even before the game's release, the developers announced that they had sold more than 1 million paid bundles, which allow you to play the early access version of Path of Exile 2.

Nobody doubted the further success of the main Diablo competitor, but the figures impress even optimists.

Here's What We Know

Three days after the release of Path of Exile 2, the peak online game exceeded 578 thousand people and this figure is almost all the time kept at a stable-high level.

The public has no doubt that with the release of the full version of Path of Exile 2 will surpass Diablo 4 in all respects, and some believe that Blizzard's game can no longer withstand any competition.

According to SteamDB, PoE 2 ranked 15th on the list of the most popular games in terms of peak online play in Steam history, beating out such mastodons as Valheim and the Call of Duty series, as well as the new online action game Marvel Rivals, which is also performing well.

By the way, the popularity of Path of Exile 2 in no small measure contributed to the establishment of a new record of Steam attendance.

Note that when Path of Exile 2 is released from Early Access (probably in 2025), it will be a free-to-play game, and we can only guess how many new users it will attract then.
