Occupants start testing special traffic light detectors against Ukrainian FPV drones
Russian occupants have developed a traffic light detector that can warn of FPV drones using radio and sound analysis.
Here's What We Know
The Russian military has introduced an innovative traffic light that can warn of the approach of FPV drones. This was reported by military radio technology expert Sergey Flesh.
Traffic lights are installed on poles near important routes for the movement of equipment. The system operates in three modes: "No FPV", "FPV near" and "FPV far". This allows the occupiers to respond quickly to the appearance of drones.

The system probably operates similarly to an infantry detector that analyses the range of operating frequencies to detect drones. In addition, the traffic light can operate in manual mode, when the operator sets the desired signal depending on the circumstances.
It is possible that the system is equipped with a sound analyser capable of recognising drone operation by the sound of the engine. This is especially true for fibre-optic drones.
Given the growing use of drones of various types, the saturation of such detection capabilities is critical to improving the effectiveness of combat operations on both sides.
