Bloomberg: game releases are panicking over the upcoming release of GTA VI and trying to avoid competing with Rockstar's new product
The gaming community is eagerly awaiting the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Few people doubt that Rockstar Games will make another technological breakthrough and offer an incredible game. Many analysts believe that GTA VI will be not only the most successful game of the next year, but also of the whole decade, and has all chances to become the most profitable entertainment project of all time.
Of course, all this makes almost all game companies nervous, especially those that planned to release their novelties in autumn 2025.
Here's What We Know
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier confirmed that game publishers will try not to reveal the release date of their projects until the last moment. The reason is simple - they are waiting for Rockstar to announce the release date of GTA VI to be able to put their own release date, the most favourable for themselves and not to compete in a losing battle with the new part of the cult franchise.
Schreier also confirmed one of the fears of many gamers that GTA VI will not be as topical and satirical as past instalments. According to him, the studio management asked the scriptwriters to reduce the number of intolerant jokes.
Recall, recently it became known that This is how games should be made: Grand Theft Auto V sales have surpassed 205 million copies, and only on the first day of sales (in 2013) the game brought $1 billion, so it is difficult to imagine what heights the new part will reach.
