Samsung expands charging control options in One UI 7.0
Samsung has introduced a host of new and improved features in the One UI 7 beta, including new charging options. Previously, the "max" mode limited charging to 80 per cent, but now users can set this limit to 95 per cent. This change allows for a better balance between current battery capacity and battery life.
Here's What We Know
Three charging modes are also available in One UI 7: basic, adaptive, and maximum. Basic mode charges the phone up to 100% and then keeps the charge level between 95% and 100%. Adaptive mode charges the phone to 80% at night and 100% in the morning. Maximum mode now allows users to manually set the charging limit between 80% and 95%, helping to extend battery life.

The new options give users more control over the charging and battery health of their devices. The One UI 7 beta is available for Galaxy S24 phones in select countries and will soon be expanded to other regions and devices.
