The December Feature Drop update for Google Pixel smartphones, which includes QPR1 Android 15, has caused audio playback issues in Android Auto for some users.

Here's What We Know

The update, released on 5 December, added new features and bug fixes, but it also caused some unexpected issues. Owners of Pixel 9, Pixel 8, and Pixel 6 devices have reported that when their smartphones are connected to their cars via a USB port, audio from music and podcast apps like Spotify, Pocket Casts, and Tune In is not being streamed to the car speakers.

While the problem affected a limited number of users, some users noted that the sound started working again after a day or so. Google has yet to respond to the complaints, but an update is expected to be released soon to fix the bug.
