Telefónica, one of the world's largest telecommunications service providers, and Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite, have announced a long-term partnership that will make Fortnite and the Epic Games Store more accessible on millions of Android devices on the Telefónica network. As a first step in this collaboration, the Epic Games Store will be pre-installed on new compatible Android devices in Spain, the UK, Germany, Mexico and Latin America.

Here's What We Know

This agreement will allow players to more easily download Fortnite, Fall Guys and Rocket League Sideswipe, as well as third-party games in the future. The partners plan to expand their cooperation over the next year to provide even more benefits to mobile players.

The collaboration between Telefónica and Epic Games has deep roots: Telefónica was the first mobile operator to implement a direct payment system on the Epic Games Store.

Lorena Senador-Gómez, Director of Partnerships and Devices at Telefónica, said: "This collaboration with Epic Games strengthens our relationship and allows us to provide our customers with a high quality and affordable digital experience."

Michael Modon from Epic Games said that through this agreement, players will be able to access the Epic Games Store and Fortnite directly on their Android devices.

The deal also aims to create a more competitive ecosystem for Android players by providing them with an alternative to traditional app stores.
