The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be released on PC: the release will take place on 3 April 2025
Naughty Dog has announced that The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be available on PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store on 3 April 2025. Previously, the game was released on PlayStation 5 in January 2024, and now PC players will be able to enjoy one of the best games ever.
Here's What We Know
The Last of Us Part II is an action-adventure game with horror elements by Naughty Dog, which continues the story of the first part. However, in the sequel, the authors took a different direction, which gave players one of the most brutal and depressing stories in the gaming industry. The second part raises the themes of revenge, loss, war, forgiveness, and more. And thanks to the dynamic gameplay and atmosphere, you are immersed in these events, experiencing all the painful and joyful moments with the characters and ready to follow them on a mysterious and dangerous path that will give you an experience that will not leave anyone indifferent.
The remaster will feature a new mode called No Return. This is an analogue of roguelike, where you have to defeat enemies as one of the characters, as they come in waves. Each of the characters has its own characteristics that suit different styles of play.
If you really enjoyed playing the guitar in the second part, the new version will give you the opportunity to do it separately and spend as much time as you want.
The authors have also decided to add cut-scenes that you can freely explore and listen to the developers' comments about the game's development.
As you progress through the story, you'll also have access to commentary from Neil Druckmann, Halley Gross, and actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, and Laura Bailey. They came together to talk about the story and its characters.
The Remastered version will also feature all DualSense features, new accounts for Ellie and Abby, a speed run mode that was unlocked in The Last of Us Part I, and an improved photo mode that was also available in Part I.
The game was developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios, who are working on PC optimisation to ensure that it delivers the performance and features that PC players expect. Naughty Dog promises to share more details about PC specs and features closer to the release date.
