Hyundai Motor Group is expanding its partnership with Google by integrating the Google Maps platform into new Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brand vehicles. This will give drivers access to data on 250 million locations around the world right in the car's cabin.

Here's What We Know

The Places API integration from Google Maps will give Hyundai, Kia and Genesis cars more accurate data for navigation. In particular, up-to-date information about opening hours, contact details, ratings, reviews of establishments and more. Kia drivers in North America will be the first to test the new feature, and it will be rolled out to Hyundai and Genesis models around the world.

Hyundai Motor and Google collaboration

Hyundai Motor has previously announced that it is switching to the Android Automotive operating system. The companies are also collaborating on advanced technology and artificial intelligence.
