Airbnb introduces new technology to prevent noisy New Year's Eve parties.

Here's How It Works

The system uses machine learning (AI) to identify and block risky bookings. It analyses factors such as the duration of the trip, distance to the booking location, and date to identify potentially problematic bookings. For example, if you want to book a house for two nights on the eve of the holidays, your booking may be blocked.

The technology will work in many countries, such as the US, Canada, the UK, France, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. To book a home in these countries, you will need to stay for more than three nights and sign a special statement.

Airbnb has already blocked 74,000 attempts to book party homes in 2023.
