Bloomberg: Apple is developing a huge foldable gadget that will combine iPad and Mac functionality
Authoritative insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman shared exclusive information about the ambitious foldable gadget from Apple, which will combine the functionality of iPad and Mac.
Here's What We Know
In his weekly news column, Mark Gurman reported that Apple is developing a foldable device the size of two iPad Pro (therefore, its diagonal will be about 25 inches).
The US manufacturer's main goal is to eliminate the crease where the screen folds and make it so that when unfolded, there is none.
Mark Gurman believes that the device will use iPadOS or its analogue as an operating system. It is planned that the gadget will get the functionality of iPad and Mac, but will not be their full hybrid. The novelty will be able to run macOS applications.
According to Gurman, the presentation of such a device will take place in 2028, and in 2026 Apple will present a foldable iPhone, which will be the first such smartphone of the American giant.
