Google has released an update to the Files app, adding a new PDF viewer.

Here's What We Know

Previously, users relied on Google Drive to open PDFs, but now they can do so directly in the Files app. The new PDF viewer provides a more integrated interface, allowing users to star documents, share them, and use features such as Open With, Move to Trash, Move to, Copy to, Moved to, Moved to Safe Folder, File Info, Find in File, and Print.

These functions were previously only accessible via a long press on the overflow menu in list view. The update also includes a new icon for the edit button, although the functionality remains the same. The update is expected to be available within a few weeks, starting with version 1.5687.x after the server update.
