The developers of Unpacking have asked Nintendo to take action against fake games that have flooded the eShop. In their statement, the team from Witch Beam expressed concern about low-quality copies that use similar names and graphics, misleading players.

Here's What We Know

The authors note that such counterfeits can negatively affect the reputation of Nintendo and its users, and the developers emphasised the importance of ensuring the safety and quality of content in the store. They urged the company to more actively monitor new arrivals to avoid situations where players buy low-quality products instead of original games.

Fake games often receive positive reviews due to manipulation of ratings. This creates additional difficulties for developers trying to compete in the market.

Nintendo has not yet commented on this situation, but the statement by Unpacking developers has drawn attention to an important issue that needs to be addressed urgently.

It's been over two weeks and these are still on the eShop. Nintendo hasn't responded to any of our reports of these egregious scams that are using our trademarked game name and purposely tricking Nintendo customers into buying cheap fakes.
