SoundCloud has announced a new Artist budget plan for musicians
Music streaming platform SoundCloud has announced the launch of a new, more affordable paid plan for artists called Artist.
Here's What We Know
This basic plan will cost $39 per year and will introduce some restrictions on features such as track amplification, distribution, monetisation and AI-assisted mastering. Artists who sign up for this plan will be able to upload up to three hours of music, which is the same limit as the free plan. The new plan also offers the ability to amplify new tracks to get more than 100 listeners.
SoundCloud can be used to distribute and monetise tracks on other platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and TikTok. Artists will receive 100% royalties from their listens on SoundCloud and keep the revenue from other platforms. SoundCloud also provides a mastering credit for one track per month.

If artists want higher limits, such as unlimited track uploads and additional features, they can opt for the Artist Pro (renamed Next Pro) plan for $99 per year. This plan includes three AI mastering credits per month and community management tools.
