Meta has introduced a new software update for Ray-Ban smartphones and added Live AI, live translation, and Shazam integration.

Here's What We Know

Live AI and translation are available in the preview mode, and voice commands only support English, French, and Italian.

The Live AI feature allows Meta AI to analyse the user's environment in real time, providing contextual hints through voice commands.

Users can ask a question without saying "Hey Meta", and the system remembers previous conversation topics, adapting to the user's needs.

Live translation provides instant interpretation in English, Spanish, French, or Italian. You can listen to the results through the speakers or view transcripts on your smartphone.

The glasses have also been integrated with Shazam, allowing you to recognise music with the command "Hey Meta, what is this song?".

All new features are available to early access programme participants in the US and Canada.
