SBU exposes largest network of Russian agents hunting for F-16 in five regions of Ukraine
The SBU Military Counterintelligence neutralised a large-scale agent network of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. The attackers were spying on the Defence Forces in five regions of Ukraine at once.
Here's What We Know
The group consisted of 12 men, some of whom were military personnel who had gone AWOL. Their leader was based in Dnipro region and used a fake "volunteer certificate" and "anti-corruption activist". He involved accomplices from Zaporizhzhia, as well as Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions in cooperation with the aggressor.

The agents were looking for firing positions of Ukrainian air defence, as well as locations of secret airfields where, according to Russians, F-16s could be based. Law enforcement officers detained the organiser and four key accomplices.
A separate task of the enemy agents was to establish the addresses of companies involved in the production of electronic warfare equipment against Russian drones.
