The second season of The Last of Us TV adaptation is expected in the first half of 2025, and if you think that after that the next season will have to wait for 2 years again, it may happen sooner. According to Production Bulletin, the third season is already in pre-production.

Filming of the third season may start in the summer of 2025. Although the plot details remain secret for now, it is likely to continue the events of the second game, as it will not be possible to fit everything into one season.

Also, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann will continue to work on Season 3.

So, we are waiting for the premiere of season 2 first, and then the appearance of the third season as soon as possible.
