Give money for democracy: Helldivers 2 gets first crossover with popular shooter series Killzone
Helldivers 2 developers from Arrowhead have announced the first crossover between the game and the popular Killzone series of shooters. This crossover offers new equipment that is already available for players fighting for democracy.
Here's What We Know
As part of this crossover, players can get a new set of AC-1 Dutiful armour, a Sta-52 assault rifle and other cosmetic items. Although the first part of the crossover is already available, the second part will be released on 23 December.
Arrowhead emphasised that it decided to implement crossovers only when it logically fits into the game.
Interestingly, the new items are not part of regular Warbonds but belong to a new level of special premium content designed for collaborations and unique themed materials. This decision drew some criticism from players due to the high price of the new items. For example, an assault rifle costs 615 super credits, and armour without a helmet costs 500 credits.
Arrowhead also noted that it takes into account player feedback about the limited time items are available in the store. In response, the studio has decided to test longer rotations for the crossover items with Killzone, which will remain available for 5 days on each page. This will allow players more time to choose the items they want.
